Romania plans to host a state-of-the-art AI factory to support the Black Sea region, including Moldova.

The Ministry of Economy has submitted to the European Commission a letter of intent for the construction of the Black Sea AI Gigafactory in Romania, which will also serve other countries in the Black Sea area. The project aims to install over 100,000 AI accelerators in Cernavodă and Doicești, using a sustainable energy mix. This initiative will promote cooperation, innovation and cybersecurity in the region, having a positive impact on the digitalization of Ukraine and technological integration in the Republic of Moldova.
