With an investment of over €2.6 billion, Romania is strengthening its national security by acquiring SHORAD-VSHORAD missile systems. Defense Minister Ionuț Moșteanu has announced that the tender procedure has been finalized and the contract with the Israeli firm Rafael is to be signed. These missiles will protect airports, military bases and cities. An increase in the budget for military procurement, including Turkish corvettes, is also planned as part of a national defense strategy focused on the Black Sea.
