The Minister of Justice, Radu Marinescu, stated that the extradition of Horațiu Potra depends on the authorities in the United Arab Emirates, under the conditions in which there is no treaty or bilateral agreement in this regard.

Radu Marinescu, the Minister of Justice, stated that he cannot estimate when Horațiu Potra will be brought to Romania, considering that there is no extradition treaty with the United Arab Emirates. Romanian authorities are collaborating with those in the UAE to expedite the procedure. Potra, detained in Dubai, is subject to an arrest warrant for attempting actions against the constitutional order. Marinescu emphasized that the extradition will be analyzed by the judicial authorities in the UAE, and Romania is doing everything possible to facilitate the process.
