A police car hit a pedestrian crossing the street in Bucharest. Police officials say the car was on a mission and had its beacons and lights on.

The accident took place in sector 4 of the capital and the woman was taken to hospital for medical care. The driver of the truck, a 23-year-old man, was breathalyzed and the result was negative. Traffic police are investigating the cause of the accident.
