The Ministry of Economy has established a crisis cell to support the 677 Romanian tourists stranded in Greece, Cyprus, and Spain, after the agency Cocktail Holidays went into financial distress.

The Ministry of Economy intervened after the agency Cocktail Holidays left 677 Romanian tourists without accommodation and plane tickets, causing a tourism crisis. The Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism (MEDAT) is working to repatriate the tourists, most of whom already have solutions for returning to the country. Currently, the situation of another 87 tourists is being analyzed. Cocktail Holidays, accused of non-payment for services, announced financial difficulties and a possible entry into insolvency, and MEDAT will initiate checks after resolving the situation of the tourists.
