The draft law, initiated by USR deputies, mandates the installation of panic buttons in all hospitals to allow patients to quickly signal medical emergencies. Additionally, hospitals will need to have surveillance cameras in the ICU and emergency departments to monitor medical activities and ensure patient safety. Video recordings will be stored securely and accessible only to authorized personnel. The project was adopted in response to previous incidents that highlighted the lack of such safety measures.
