Romania is under a code yellow heatwave warning, with temperatures forecast to reach 40 degrees Celsius in several counties and in the capital.

On Wednesday, most of the country is under a code yellow heatwave, with orange warnings in force from Thursday. The ANM forecasts maximum temperatures between 34 and 40 degrees, with high discomfort. In Banat, Crișana, Oltenia and other regions, the temperature-humidity index will exceed 80 units. On Friday, the heat wave will persist, with tropical nights in the south and west.
