The National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing has fined Călin Georgescu 30,000 lei for illegally storing users' data via cookies and 20,286.80 lei for failing to inform data subjects about the processing of their data. The investigation was initiated following a complaint and found that Georgescu did not obtain the consent of users. He also remains under judicial control in another case related to controversial statements.
