The Iași police have launched an investigation after being informed about the presence of 13 citizens from the Republic of Moldova in Iași, who were contacting Moldovan voters to ask them to vote for the Socialist Party, led by Igor Dodon. They are said to have checked into a hotel and used communication equipment to conduct the electoral campaign. After the police intervention, the group left Romania, and the authorities will collaborate with those in the Republic of Moldova to clarify the situation. The parliamentary elections in Moldova are scheduled for September 28.
