On September 26, the police in the Republic of Moldova discovered a stash of electoral leaflets in a church in Hâncești, containing attacks against state institutions and messages of religious hatred. The materials, printed clandestinely, were being distributed by a priest to parishioners, including children. Authorities are investigating the case, and two men suspected of producing the materials have been detained. The action is believed to have been coordinated by a religious leader associated with a political party, in the context of the parliamentary elections on September 28, 2025.
