The European Commission has launched a strategy to improve water efficiency, calling on EU countries to reduce consumption by at least 10% by 2030. This comes in the context of environmental challenges such as pollution and climate change. The commission will work with member countries to set customized national targets and support technology initiatives to reduce pollution. The European Investment Bank will allocate more than €15 billion for infrastructure and sustainable solutions between 2025-2027.
