A university professor from the USA has developed an application that announces the arrival of ICE agents.

University professor Rafael Concepcion from Syracuse University has developed an application equipped with artificial intelligence and a web platform to warn immigrants about the arrival of agents from the American Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Concepcion, a programmer and activist, initially created an application to educate immigrants about their constitutional rights.

Noticing that education was not enough, he improved the application, named 'DEICER', which allows users to report ICE activities on a map, alerting nearby individuals with information and photos of the agents. The application quickly became successful, being downloaded over 30,000 times, but was removed from the App Store after Concepcion received death threats.

Undeterred, he launched a web version and collaborates with an immigrant rights organization in North Carolina, continuing his mission despite cyberattacks and pressure from authorities.
