BeeHome, invented by the California startup Beewise, comes at a critical moment for bees, whose colonies are collapsing at a rate of nearly 40% each year. The robotic hive, equipped with cameras and sensors that constantly monitor the bees, aims to counteract the destructive effects of climate change. Additionally, BeeHome has the capacity to manage up to 10 colonies each, which reduces labor requirements. The company claims that this robotic hive reduces colony losses by 70% and produces healthier and more resilient bees.
