Renault has announced that it will integrate Gemini AI as a voice assistant in its cars, starting in mid-June, through an Over-The-Air update. This system will replace Google Assistant and will allow users to perform voice commands with natural and contextual language. Gemini will be available across the entire Renault range, from Twingo to Rafale, including international models. The update will be done remotely, and the activation of the service will be free. Renault promises that Gemini will offer advanced interaction, including the ability to interrupt the assistant and make consecutive requests without voice activation. Gemini will be able to control functions of the car, such as climate control and navigation, and will have access to vehicle data, such as battery range. Although it will initially support thirteen languages, Romanian will not be available, and users in Romania will have to use other languages. Renault promises that it will add new languages in the future.
