Neal Mohan, the CEO of YouTube, stated that he limits children in their use of digital platforms, acknowledging concerns about the negative effects of social media on young people. In an interview, Mohan explained that the time spent on YouTube and other media is controlled, being stricter during the weekdays and more relaxed on weekends. Experts, such as Jonathan Haidt, warn about the impact of smartphones and social media on children, recommending that they should not have access to these devices before certain ages. Globally, Australia has banned access to social media for children under 16, and Mohan emphasizes his responsibility to provide parents with tools to manage children's use of YouTube. Former YouTube CEO, Susan Wojcicki, and other technology leaders, such as Bill Gates and Mark Cuban, have adopted similar approaches regarding controlling children's access to technology.
