Greg Brockman, the president of OpenAI, confessed on Monday in front of the court that his stake in the artificial intelligence company is worth nearly 30 billion dollars. He emphasized that he has not personally invested any money in OpenAI, which was founded in 2015 as a non-profit startup, initially funded by Elon Musk, before becoming a capitalist enterprise now valued at 852 billion dollars. This revelation could place Brockman on Forbes' list of the world's richest people, with a fortune comparable to that of Melinda French Gates. The civil case in which he is involved accuses Brockman and CEO Sam Altman of betraying Musk, straying from the company's altruistic mission. OpenAI's lawyers attempted to present as evidence a text message from Musk to Brockman, but Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers did not admit this exchange of messages.
