Google has introduced Gemini 3 Flash, a new variant of the flagship Gemini 3 Pro, which promises to provide faster and more detailed responses while maintaining advanced reasoning capabilities. Tulsee Doshi, the product head at Google DeepMind, stated that the transition to Gemini 3 Flash will represent a "huge upgrade" for users. The new model will be used by default in the Gemini application and will replace Gemini 2.5 Pro in the Google search engine. Compared to its predecessor, Gemini 3 Flash is more powerful and efficient, offering superior responses at lower operating costs. It will also be available to developers through the Gemini API, AI Studio, and other dedicated tools. This release comes a week after the introduction of Gemini 3 Pro, which brought advanced features for processing text, images, and videos.
