Geoffrey Hinton, Nobel Prize winner and expert in artificial intelligence, has raised an alarm about its impact on the labor market, highlighting the risks to office jobs. He recommends that young people opt for manual trades, such as plumbing or electrical work, which are harder to replace with AI. Hinton left Google to be able to speak freely about these risks, mentioning that current AI models are evolving rapidly and could surpass human intelligence without upholding our values.
