eYou Social (eYou) was launched as a European alternative to traditional social media platforms, by Grégoire Vigroux and entrepreneur Jasseem Allybokus. The project secured funding of 300,000 euros from Fil Rouge Capital, after a validation phase supported by the founders' own funds. The application is free and will not be monetized in the initial phase. Vigroux emphasizes that users no longer trust current social networks, which are perceived as manipulative and full of misinformation.

Over 50,000 users have signed up on the waiting list, and the platform is now available on iOS and Android. Although most initial users come from Romania, the United States and Sweden have shown significant interest. A survey conducted by eYou revealed that 89% of users encounter misinformation on social networks, and 63% believe that the quality of content is declining. This highlights the need for change in the social media landscape.
