With an impressive career in the field, Andrew Ng co-founded Google Brain and is a leader in AI education through the Coursera platform. While he acknowledges the hype surrounding AI, he emphasizes that the technology is both impressive and limited, stating that general artificial intelligence (AGI) is still far from being realized. Andrew Ng promotes the importance of learning programming, even in the context of automation through AI, believing that it will remain a valuable skill. He also warns that excessive regulations, based on isolated incidents, could limit the broader benefits of AI. Instead, he advocates for legislation focused on transparency, which facilitates the identification and addressing of issues. Andrew Ng recognizes that, although there are risks associated with AI, the demand for interaction with trained models is continuously increasing. He predicts an expansion of voice AI and agent systems, which will bring real commercial value. His message is clear: AI is a powerful tool, but it will not replace human intelligence anytime soon; the real opportunity lies in understanding both its strengths and its limitations.
