Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, announced that he will make an official visit to Turkey on Wednesday, with the main goal of reviving peace negotiations with the Russian Federation, which has been at an impasse for several months. In a message on platform X, Zelensky emphasized the importance of this visit, mentioning that he is preparing to propose solutions to Turkish partners to bring the end of the war closer.

He also highlighted the need to restore prisoner exchanges, wishing to bring home the captured soldiers. Turkey, as a NATO member, has maintained constructive relations with both Russia and Ukraine, playing a mediating role in the conflict that began in February 2022.
