The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced that Ukrainian military experts have shot down Iranian drones in several countries in the Middle East, according to The Wall Street Journal and The Times of Israel. Kiev has deployed dozens of military specialists in the fight against drones in at least four countries, in response to drone attacks from the Tehran regime, triggered by American and Israeli strikes on Iran.
Zelensky emphasized that the support provided was not just a training mission, but real assistance in building a modern air defense system. Over 200 Ukrainian experts have been deployed to share their experience in defense against drone attacks, and 11 countries have sought Kiev's expertise.
This effort has led to the signing of 10-year security agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, and discussions continue with Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Zelensky mentioned that, in exchange for support, Ukraine could receive interceptors to protect energy infrastructure and oil supplies from the countries receiving military assistance.
