Zelensky said he hopes intense diplomacy will convince Trump that Putin is the real obstacle to peace. He will travel to Turkey to meet Erdogan and is prepared to wait for Putin. Although Trump has hinted at a trilateral meeting, the Kremlin seems not ready for direct talks. Zelenski emphasized the importance of a meeting between the leaders to facilitate lower-level talks and noted that new sanctions could be imposed if negotiations are unsuccessful.
