The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that he received an invitation from American President Donald Trump to participate in the Peace Council. However, Zelensky stated that Ukraine cannot be part of an organization that includes Russia and Belarus, considering them enemies.
This reaction comes in the context in which Trump invited dozens of countries to participate in this council, created to oversee the transition from Gaza. Countries wishing to obtain permanent member status must pay one billion dollars. Additionally, the Kremlin's spokesperson confirmed that Vladimir Putin received a similar invitation. Romania was also invited, and President Nicușor Dan announced that he is analyzing the implications of this invitation in relation to the country's international commitments.
