In an interview with the Italian publication Corriere Della Sera, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, discussed his political future, stating that he is not sure if he will run in the presidential elections that will take place after the end of the war.

He emphasized that elections will not be organized during a temporary ceasefire and mentioned that his decision depends on the wishes of the Ukrainians. Zelensky also addressed the criticisms related to corruption, stating that independent institutions have been created to combat this phenomenon, which he supports.

He also reiterated that he is prepared for elections, but only if international partners can ensure the necessary security. In the past, he proposed a two-month ceasefire to facilitate the holding of elections.
