Volodymyr Zelensky stated that his country will continue to expand attacks on strategic targets in Russia, aiming at refineries and oil depots.

The President of Ukraine announced on Wednesday that he will intensify attacks on strategic targets on Russian territory, publishing images of an attack carried out at a distance of over 1,500 km. In recent weeks, Ukraine has targeted refineries and oil depots to cripple Moscow's funding sources in the context of rising global prices.

Zelensky stated that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has carried out a successful attack, marking a new stage in the use of Ukrainian weapons. A recent attack caused a fire at a refinery in Tuapse, being the third attack on it in two weeks.

The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, condemned the attacks as being directed against civilian targets, while Ukraine considers the refineries as military targets. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported a 170% increase in the range of attacks on Russia since 2022. At the same time, Zelensky thanked King Charles III of the United Kingdom for the support given to Ukraine in front of the US Congress.
