The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian and American teams are finalizing documents for a new round of discussions on the peace plan, which could take place in the United States this weekend. This follows intense negotiations in Berlin, where significant progress was made regarding security guarantees and the economic reconstruction of Ukraine. American officials described the discussions as very positive, with a general agreement on comprehensive security measures for Ukraine, including military oversight and conflict avoidance mechanisms.
At the same time, European Union leaders issued a joint statement of support for Ukraine, committing to provide security guarantees and military aid. However, Ukraine continues to reject pressures to make territorial concessions, and issues related to territory and long-term guarantees remain obstacles in the negotiations. Zelensky emphasized that the peace plan will include five documents, and a meeting with American President Donald Trump will follow once the package is finalized.
