In his Independence Day speech, Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski reaffirmed that Ukraine will not lose the three-year war against Russia, stressing that the country is a fighter, not a victim. Along with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Zelenski signed a drone co-production agreement and announced $723m in Canadian military aid. In the context of the peace talks, Zelenski demanded security guarantees from allies, while Carney emphasized that decisions must be up to Ukraine and its allies.
