Galdino Peruzzo, the president of the club, stated that this is not the first incident of aggression faced by cyclists, recalling a previous case in which a cyclist was hit by a driver who fled.

Peruzzo emphasized the importance of respect in traffic, mentioning that despite the safety measures taken by the club, the irresponsible behavior of some drivers remains a problem. The sports director, Dimitri Konychev, explained that the routes are chosen to avoid areas with heavy traffic and that cyclists are equipped with high-visibility clothing. The incident raised an alarm about the need to promote greater respect between drivers and cyclists, considering that athletes are often victims of aggression in traffic.
