Hizam al-Assad, a senior Houthi rebel official, has said US President Donald Trump will bear the consequences of US air strikes on Iran. The Iran-backed Houthis are threatening to target US Navy warships in the Red Sea if they perceive aggression from them in support of Israel. They began attacking ships in the Red Sea in response to the conflict in Gaza, and US interventions to protect ships in the area have escalated tensions.
