European leaders, including Ursula von der Leyen, came with a list of disputes, including the trade deficit and restrictions on the Chinese market. The talks will also tackle China's rapprochement with Russia amid the war in Ukraine, and Beijing is also expected to improve customs controls. Progress on climate change remains an area of cooperation.
