Spain's consumer ministry has included Wizz Air in its investigation into commercial practices, in particular the charging of fees for larger hand luggage. Five other airlines have already been fined €179 million for similar practices. Although the fines for Ryanair, Norwegian Air and Vueling are temporarily suspended, the ministry accuses the companies of violating consumer rights. Wizz Air confirmed the investigation but avoided detailed comment, stressing that the proposed regulations could affect commercial freedom.
