The United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that it is joining the new "Peace Council" proposed by American President Donald Trump, thus becoming one of the first governments to express its support for this initiative. The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the country is ready to actively contribute to the Council's mission, promoting global cooperation and stability. This acceptance comes in a context of caution from other governments, which are reacting ambiguously to Trump's plan, initially aimed at the conflict in Gaza and later extending to other conflicts.

Some leaders, such as the Prime Minister of Italy and the Prime Minister of Canada, have expressed their willingness to contribute but have requested further details. The initiative has raised concerns among European governments, which fear it could undermine the role of the UN. The Council will be presided over for life by Trump, and member states will have limited mandates, except for those that pay 1 billion dollars for permanent member status. Hungary has accepted, and Romania and Russia have also been invited to participate.
