The billionaire investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett, stated that his decision to cease donations to the Gates Foundation was not a surprise for Bill Gates. This was announced in the context of new revelations about Gates' relationship with the sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Buffett, at the age of 95, discussed with Gates three weeks ago, after the U.S. Department of Justice published documents regarding this relationship.

He emphasized that he analyzed the situation before making the decision, stating that he read the conclusions of Congress. Since the beginning of his collaboration with the Gates Foundation in 2006, Buffett has donated shares worth over 47 billion dollars. In return, he will continue to donate shares to his family's foundations. Bill Gates acknowledged that he was wrong to associate with Epstein and apologized to the foundation's employees for their involvement in this situation.
