The board of directors of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) will resume negotiations with Paramount Skydance, which has presented a revised offer for the acquisition of the entire company.
This offer, the ninth since last year, includes a premium "waiting fee" of approximately 650 million dollars for each quarter in which the merger is not completed by December 31, 2026. Although WBD recently rejected Paramount's proposals, considering them insufficient to overturn the existing agreement with Netflix, the sale of the studio and HBO has generated intense interest from investors and regulatory bodies. WBD is expected to respond to the offer and set the date for the financial report for the fourth quarter of 2025. The transaction with Netflix will be subject to strict evaluation by regulatory authorities, and investors are expressing concerns about the agreement.
