Protests in Epping, near London, turned violent after an asylum seeker was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Hundreds of people attacked police with bottles and smoke bombs, shouting anti-immigration slogans. Police detained one person and the incident is reminiscent of last summer's anti-immigration protests. Authorities are monitoring the situation and are appealing for calm.
