Jeff Bezos has been forced to cancel the original venue for his wedding in Venice following protests by activists threatening disruptive action. Protesters charge that his wedding would close the city for a private event, and Greenpeace has placed a critical banner at the venue. Although the wedding has been moved, a group of local businesses support Bezos' choice to celebrate in Venice. Bezos has donated €1 million to protect the city's environment, a gesture he sees as a show of love for Venice.
