Delcy Rodriguez, the interim president of Venezuela, declared on Tuesday a seven-day period of national mourning for the members of the military who were killed in last week's American raid aimed at capturing President Nicolás Maduro. The Venezuelan government reported that approximately two dozen military officers were victims of the attack, and the Cuban government announced that 32 Cuban officers working in Venezuela were also killed, imposing two days of mourning. According to estimates from American officials, the total number of victims of the raid amounts to approximately 75, including deaths caused by gunfire exchanges at the presidential complex in Caracas. President Donald Trump described the operation as 'effective' but 'very violent,' emphasizing the seriousness of the incident.
