An unusual incident occurred at Vatry airport, where a plane bound for Marrakech took off without passengers, after security agents did not show up for work. The 192 people who had reservations were unable to board, most of the agents being on medical leave.
The airport director, Fabrice Pauquet, stated that the situation was unexpected, as there was no security team available at the opening of check-in. Representatives of the Securus group indicated that they were unable to send another team in time to ensure the flight's operation.
The affected passengers expressed their dissatisfaction with the response from Ryanair, which stated that it does not offer compensation in such cases considered to be force majeure. Some of them, like Michele Oudin, expressed their frustration, citing financial losses and the emotional impact of the situation. The incident sparked controversy and dissatisfaction among those affected, who feel they did not receive the necessary support.
