Apple has issued notifications to users in 98 countries warning them of possible spyware attacks targeting their devices.

The notifications have been sent pointedly to users where the US company has indications that they could be directly targeted by such an attack. The warnings do not mention the possible identity of the attacker, but emphasize the sensitive nature of threat identification methods.
