According to The Wall Street Journal, the US has made a secret amnesty proposal to Maduro and his close associates indicted by the US Department of Justice. Washington is trying to get Brazil, Mexico and Colombia to mend their stance toward Maduro. A US intervention could offer a ray of hope to the Venezuelan opposition, but the chances of change are considered slim.
