Washington postponed for a month the application of sanctions on NIS, the Serbian gas company controlled by Gazprom.

The postponement of sanctions comes at a time when NIS is the only gas supplier in Serbia, which is heavily dependent on Russian gas. The postponement was announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who emphasized the importance of the measure for Serbian citizens.
