Scott Bessent said that following the 90-day trade truce recently agreed with China, a new meeting is expected to advance negotiations. In the previous meeting, the US and China significantly reduced tariffs to a standard 10%. The talks also included fentanyl issues, with China showing a willingness to work with the US to stop the flow of the precursor chemical.
