Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, stated that Ukraine's borders cannot be changed by force and that the Ukrainian army should not be reduced to avoid vulnerability to future attacks. These statements were made in the context of discussions in Geneva, where representatives from the USA, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France are analyzing an American peace plan consisting of 28 points. Von der Leyen emphasized the importance of recognizing the central role of the European Union in securing peace for Ukraine, stating that the country has the sovereign right to choose its own European destiny. The American plan proposes the cession of the Donbas region to Russia and the limitation of Ukrainian armed forces, which has generated controversy and concerns regarding Ukraine's national security.
