The Sky Map system, developed by the Ukrainian army, is used for detecting and intercepting drones, including those of the Shahed type, manufactured in Iran. According to The Ukrainian Review, the platform integrates data from radars and sensors to quickly identify threats, allowing for real-time responses. Following the Iranian drone attacks on American positions, which resulted in equipment losses and the death of a soldier, Ukrainians began training American military personnel in operating this system.
This collaboration highlights vulnerabilities in the U.S. air defense and prompts the Pentagon to accelerate investments in anti-drone systems. Ukraine, having significant experience in combating Iranian drones in the conflict with Russia, has started to share this expertise with its partners, including by sending experts and interceptor drones to protect American bases in Jordan.
