The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that legislative measures are essential to help the country continue the war against Russia and to promote the necessary reforms for joining the European Union. Due to legislative delays, Ukraine has missed deadlines for unlocking billions of dollars from creditors, and the need for external funding amounts to 52 billion dollars this year. Zelensky emphasized the importance of adopting key bills, including the reform of the judicial system and the energy sector. The Parliament, which holds the majority in the hands of his party, will meet on Monday to discuss the legislation, and the vote is scheduled for April 7 and 8. Since the invasion in 2022, Ukraine has received approximately 174 billion dollars in economic aid, but this year, funding has been blocked due to the opposition of Hungary's Prime Minister, Viktor Orban.

Economists warn that delays in fulfilling obligations under the EU's Ukraine Facility program could lead to a loss of over 3.9 billion dollars. Additionally, corruption scandals and war fatigue are affecting relations between Zelensky's government and parliament, and the opposition is calling for greater representation in the government.
