In March, Ukraine regained control over nearly 50 km² of territory from Russia, declared the head of the army, Oleksandr Sersky. This consolidation of Ukrainian victories comes against the backdrop of intensified Russian offensive operations along a 1,200 km front line, especially in the area of the city of Pokrovsk, where the fighting has been the most intense.

Sersky highlighted the directions of Oleksandrivka, Kostiantynivka, and Lyman as the hottest conflict zones. Military analysts emphasize that Ukrainian counterattacks in the southeast have thwarted Russian efforts. Since the end of January, Ukraine has regained 480 km², and President Zelensky stated that the situation on the front is the most favorable for Ukraine since the middle of last year.

To diminish Russia's offensive capabilities, Ukraine has intensified attacks on Russian military facilities, striking 76 targets in March, including oil refineries. These actions aim to reduce Moscow's export revenues in the context of international sanctions.
