In the context of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the UK government will launch a plan to evacuate up to 300 injured or sick children for medical treatment in the UK. Each child will be accompanied by a parent or guardian and the Home Office will carry out security checks before departure. The initiative joins the efforts of Project Pure Hope, which has so far managed to evacuate several children. Prime Minister Keir Starmer emphasized the urgency of the measures, while British MPs called for the evacuation process to be speeded up.
