The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced the interception of two drones coming from Iran, following repeated attacks on the country, after a period of calm.
Iran has denied involvement, warning, however, that it will respond harshly to any action from the UAE. Following the attacks, schools in the UAE switched to online classes, but authorities decided to resume physical attendance.
At the same time, South Korea announced preliminary findings regarding the cargo ship HMM Namu, which caught fire in the Strait of Hormuz. The South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the ship was hit by two unidentified objects, ruling out an internal cause. The fire damaged an area of 7 by 5 meters, without causing injuries. South Korean authorities are collaborating with the involved countries, including Iran, to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
