A Turkish Airlines plane caught fire on Monday during landing at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The incident occurred when the aircraft, coming from Istanbul, landed with flames and smoke coming from the right landing gear. Emergency teams responded quickly, extinguishing the fire and safely evacuating the passengers. On board the Airbus 330 were 277 passengers, and the airport was closed to allow authorities to conduct investigations and clear the runway. Following the incident, several flights to Kathmandu were put on hold.
